Last Laugh for Howard U. Student Humor Magazine
Another humor magazine has died
Although I guess it wasn't really around very long. But it had a famous name attached
But there is a happy ending:
the cost of The Illtop "became prohibitive" for Rock. The comedian kept his eye on the larger goal, though: This summer, he got Comedy Central to offer an internship for college students to learn from pros like Rock, Al Franken and Conan O'Brien

Wow, three spams in one minute! Plus another a little later!
I was reading a thing on the USC campus today about student media. They had a humor magazine, the Wampus, from roughly 1919-ish to 1957. It looked Lampoonish--the issue pictured had a "The ___ Number" heading on it. I guess you have to be an old humor magazine to understand why they all used to do that. Then they folded for financial reasons, which doesn't make sense because nothing at USC folds for financial reasons. Did they sell it or something?
I think it's sad when colleges don't have humor magazines. We were lucky that we had the best one ever.
