I'm one of you now
I turned in my penultimate library school assignment last night. One more week and I’m done. I’ve always thought penultimate was a retardedly pretentious word, but it sure beats typing out second to last.
And in a not very smart move, on Monday I bought a pink Nintendo DS. I’m sharing it with my sister. She’s been trying to get me to go in with her on some kind of video game machine and I finally gave in.
We have two games right now—really more than I can handle. I started off with Super Princess Peach. While cute, it’s too much like a regular game. Too many buttons to press and not enough stylus action. Then my sister unlocked the toad mini game where you blow to jump. So far, I’ve bought all the levels I can, and am impatiently waiting to get the rest of them. Also, the spinning log thing before the second boss was pretty cool.
Knowing that I only like novelty, Nintendogs should have been perfect for me. I started my dog last night after I finished my assignment, and I don’t even think I played an hour. The stupid dog will only go on really short walks, and she only found one present—a stupid tennis ball that I already had. While I like Nintendogs in theory, I’m not sure how long I’m going to last in practice. My dog just might be too boring for me. And I was lured in to buying Dalmatian and Friends, but I think I actually wanted Lab.
